Giraffes & Squirrels

Giraffes are awesome, it’s pretty simple. I always wondered if giraffes ever saw their whole body because their head is so far away! On the contrary, it is indisputable that giraffes have tongues. This giraffe below just seems to want to taste a squirrel’s head.

Maybe they're just playing freeze tag in the zoo and the giraffe just unfroze a teammate. The squirrel is just a pro at playing the part.

The squirrel looks petrified! Haha, it’s tail’s hair is completely standing on end. Squirrels are actually one of the most curious creatures. Just when you think you’ve “tamed” a squirrel at the park, think again. They probably just played you. Although squirrels might seem to be climbing up trees everywhere, giraffes are only native to Africa.

“randy_j-ga” on Google Answers mathematically estimates the population of squirrels to be 1.12 billion [2]. On the other hand, it is estimated that less than 80,000 giraffes exist [3]. Just imagine how awesome it is for these two creatures to meet! Without America wanting to create zoos for citizens to enjoy a public display of wildlife and biology, these two creatures may have never met.
